Pamphlet: Mexican Report, Contemporary Art from Mexico
title Pamphlet: Mexican Report, Contemporary Art from Mexicodescription Pamphlet that advertises an exhibition that was presented by the Mexic-Arte Museum entitled "Mexican Report, Contemporary Art from Mexico". The pamphlet folds out to span three and a half panels long. The entire panel has an orange background and blue, white, and orange borders. The cover of the pamphlet features the title of the exhibition as well as several blue-tinted photographs cropped and layered to create a decorative jagged element. The logos of several sponsors are included on the cover, and there is a sticker at the bottom that reads, "Complimentary Admission, Friday, Sept. 10, 2004". The first panel of the opened pamphlet, which is the half-size panel, includes the logo of the Mexic-Arte Museum and a list of major sponsors. The second panel includes the title of the exhibition, the name of the exhibition curator, and the date, admission price, and times of the opening reception, a member's preview, and a musical performance. The panel also contains information concerning parking, catering, sponsors, and a special guest. The second panel highlights a large, blue-tinted photograph of a painting that depicts "Mr. Clean" and "Garfield" watching a woman scrubbing a tile floor. Artwork credits are at the side of the photograph, and there is a quote from the curator below. The last panel features a photograph of a painting from the exhibition that takes up the entire panel. The photograph is also blue-tinted, and the painting depicts a mass of tangled tubes that are covered in cloth. The fleshy tubes appear to be stopping at a rectangular slab. Artwork credits are at the side of the photograph. The back of the middle panel continues the shape that consists of photographs that was created on the front cover. The back of the last panel advertises "Museum Day at the Mexic-Arte Museum". The panel includes the date of the event as well as times and information concerning a gallery talk and an artist meet and greet. There is also information about an exhibition entitled "Alebrijes, Oaxacan Wood Carvings". There is a blue-tinted photograph of a sculpture of a dragon-like creature holding a woman to the right of the event information.artist/creator Unknownsubject Education - Events Arts And Crafts - Crafts - Wood Carving Guests Receptions Contemporary Art Museum Exhibits -- Texas -- Austin.
