Photograph of Bogel Boys After a Hunt
title Photograph of Bogel Boys After a Huntdescription In this photograph, there are two young men standing in front of a dead cat. The boys are both dressed casually and wearing cowboy hats. Each of them is resting a rifle on the ground next to him, holding the muzzle in his right hand. The taller boy, to the right, is also wearing a belt of ammunition and holding some kind of horn in his left hand. The animal in front of them is a large cat, most likely a mountain lion (a related source refers to it as a panther) which is posed on the ground. There is also something off to the left, possibly another animal. The ground they are standing on appears to be bare and, in the background there is a house made of brick with a porch. To the left, there is a tree and a fence as well as some other indistinguishable objects behind the hunters. An accompanying note reads: "l to r - Gus Bogel, Graves Bogel, Sauceda ranch-house."subject Panthers Bogel Family.
