  description Angelina and Belinda Ramos grew up in East Los Angeles. Their family first settled in East L.A. in 1928. Angelina would go on to start a public affairs firm in 1987 called Eventfully Yours. Around 1990-91, Angelina married then-L.A. city councilman Richard Alatorre. In 1993, she was a member of the National Women's Political Caucus, director of the Mariachi Heritage Society, and director of the El Sereno Youth Development Corp.
