San Esteban Dam
title San Esteban Damdescription In this print, there are actually four different photographs showing different parts of San Esteban Dam and San Esteban Lake. The upper left photograph shows a rocky area with brush and what appears to be a white fence and a stream. Underneath are the handwritten words "San Esteban Dam." The photograph in the upper right shows the lake with the dam wall in the right of the photograph and the foreground shows the shore of the lake; the word "Lake" is handwritten underneath. The photographs at the bottom of the print are less clear, but seem to show different views of the lake, its shores and the islands in it. There appears to be a person and rowboat in the photograph at the bottom right. On the back of the photograph, a handwritten note reads, "Views of San Esteban Dam and lake about 12 miles south of Marfa. Soil conservation and flood control caused the lake to go dry many years ago. Note irrigation ditch on backside of the dam."artist/creator Unknownsubject Dams -- Texas.
