Wall Of Heroes And Martyrs (Detail)
title Wall Of Heroes And Martyrs (Detail)description Detail shows La Virgen de Guadalupe framed by a red rectangle. At her feet, instead of a cherub, is a "Vato"{note: the angels head is that of Ramon "Chunky" Sanchez} "Since the establishment of Chicano Park and the evolution of its Monumental Public Mural concept, the public has responded their approval by having photos taken of themselves and family standing in front of our murals. This photo activity extends into many professionals using our murals to advertise their products and cars. Many amateur student filmmakers as well as big film companies have made their films in Chicano Park. One such film with Chuck Norris, "The Force is One", uses the park and the murals in a negative stereotype manner. See attachment of Carlos Santana promoting himself for the Life Magazine, Story of Wood Stock Remembered, 1994." Salvador Torres The artist of any work retains all rights to that work.
