Santero Triptych
title Santero Triptychdescription Cat.12 078 From Santos de New Mexico Exhibition at Galería de la Raza, organized by René Yáñez and Ralph Maradiaga. Although not a triptych in the traditional sense, this work is composed of three individual sculptures that, as an ensemble, form one coherent artwork. The figure on the right is the Virgin Mary, center is the crucified Christ, and left is probably Mary Magdalene. Text on upper portion of cross reads, "INRI". The artist of any work retains all rights to that work. Copyright has not been assigned to the Regents of the University of California. The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction.
