Title
Group of Hispanic People on a Porch
Creator
Description
Photograph of a large group of Mexican people on the porch of a light-colored, wood-slatted house. Everyone is facing the camera and many are smiling. There are only four men in the group; three are standing in the very front. They are wearing white collared shirts and trousers, and one of them is wearing a suit jacket and bowtie. All of the women are wearing light cotton dresses. There are five young boys at the front of the group on the far right; they are all dressed like the men. There is also one young girl in the group on the lefthand side. There is an open double door entrance behind the group of people. On either side of the entrance there is a window. On the far lefthand side of the image, a stilt that is elevating the house from the ground is visible. Handwriting on the back of the photograph reads, "Galveston".
