Photograph of the fort and its adobe fence at the Brite Ranch. This fort was constructed after a raid by a band of Mexicans ending in robbery and murder during December 1917. The Texas Rangers lived in the fort for several years after the raid. This photo was included in a report by Andrew Wells for an American History class at Marfa High School on January 13, 1975.
